LevelEleven recently launched a new version of our application for Salesforce. As a part of this release, our app was renamed “Compete” and got a complete makeover. Because of the way that Salesforce does application packaging, some of these makeover changes can’t be automatically pushed out to our customers. They need to be updated manually. This includes the following:

  • Our application label and logo
  • The styles used for our application tabs
  • The use of our new Home Page Component

The following guide takes only about 5-10 minutes to complete and will ensure that Compete looks great in your Salesforce org.

Note: The changes you will make here are purely aesthetic and do not affect any of the application functionality. If you choose not to make any of these changes, your version of Compete will still function at 100%.

1. Changing the App Settings

We need to adjust some of the settings for the Compete app. Perform the following steps:

  1. Go to Setup -> Create -> Apps
  2. Find the “Compete” app in the ¬†installed package column and click “Edit” on that row.
  3. Change the “App Label” to the word “Compete
  4. Click “Insert an Image
  5. Change the file location at the top to “Compete
  6. Click “Compete Logo
  7. Then click “Save
