ALTERNATE NAME: Brewing Success, Hops to the (INSERT BEHAVIOR), The Big sALE

GOAL OF CONTEST: Run a week long team competition with the behavior of your choice.

POSSIBLE PRIZES: The winning team gets drinks and appetizers at a local restaurant (or each team member receives a six-pack of a local, favorite microbrew)

Spring (April) GENERAL COMPETITION

Spring (April)  LEADS COMPETITION
NAME: April Leads Bring May Opps

GOAL OF CONTEST: Run a month-long contest that rewards participants points for Lead creation and/or moving Leads into a specific status (i.e. Qualified). Bonus: Add a special value to the Lead Source field for “April Leads – LevelEleven” and give users bonus points for setting this field value on all Leads generated in April. This way, when these leads convert to Opportunities, you can run a report on the success of your April Leads campaign. You can also run a contest in May for all “April Leads – LevelEleven” that move through the funnel and then result in closed won business!

POSSIBLE PRIZES: Company branded umbrella; Three month subscription to Flower-of-the-Month club; Edible Arrangements

National Karaoke Week (last week of April)- SALES COMPETITION
NAME: Come Sell Away

GOAL OF CONTEST: Rather than waiting for all of your deals to close at the end of the month, build a team competition that runs during the first three weeks of the month culminating in the winning team receiving a night out of food, drinks, and karaoke!

POSSIBLE PRIZES: Food, drinks, and karaoke for the winning team.

Scrabble Day on April 13th  OPPORTUNITIES COMPETITION
NAME: Unscrabbling the Deal

ALTERNATE NAME: Scrabbled Eggs (prize could be breakfast served by the CEO/President)

GOAL OF CONTEST: Run a contest where participants are awarded one point for each opportunity advanced through the sales process.  At the end of the competition, each participant is awarded one scrabble tile for each point they scored within the competition.  The person who completes the highest point word wins!

POSSIBLE PRIZES:  First place wins $100 gift card; second place receives Scrabble Deluxe Edition


Take a Chance Day (April 23rd)  OPPORTUNITIES COMPETITION
NAME: Take a Chance

ALTERNATE NAME: So You’re Saying There’s A Chance (based on the quote from the popular film Dumb & Dumber)

BULLETIN BOARD: IMAGE 1; IMAGE 2

GOAL OF CONTEST: Build a competition in which participants are rewarded points for advancing opportunities at a low stage. Give extra points for Opportunities that have been open or in the pipeline for 30 days or more (or whatever timeframe is considered overdue for your sales cycle).

POSSIBLE PRIZES:  $100 in casino chips or lottery tickets

Easter (April) – ACTIVITIES COMPETITION
NAME: Hop to Your Tasks 

BULLETIN BOARD: IMAGE 1; IMAGE 2

GOAL OF CONTEST: Run a one week or one day contest for every Task created with a specific Type or Subject field filled out (depending on your specific business process). Encourage participants to keep up the momentum and award extra points for tasks completed within the contest timeframe.

POSSIBLE PRIZES: Fill a dozen plastic eggs with various prizes (cash, scratch-off lotto tickets, candy)  and hide them around the office. Give the top 3 winners a chance to find them. 1st place = 1 minute ; 2nd place = 30 seconds ; 3rd place = 15 seconds.

Optional – if your office does not have good hiding spots for easter eggs, put various prizes inside 12 eggs and place them in a basket. Let the 1st place winner pick 3 eggs, 2nd place picks 2, and 3rd place picks 1.


Tax Day (April 15th)- ACTIVITIES COMPETITION
NAME: Make it Count

GOAL OF CONTEST: Run a competition from April 1-14 that awards one point for every Task and one point for every Event created during that timeframe. Award a prize to the participant who created the most activities during this contest.

POSSIBLE PRIZES: A day off or half-day on April 15


Arbor Day (last day of April) – CONTACTS COMPETITION
NAME: Contacts Don’t Grow on Trees

ALTERNATE NAMES: Plant a Tree to Grow Accounts; Branching Out

BULLETIN BOARD: IMAGE 1; IMAGE 2

GOAL OF CONTEST: Run a month-long contest awarding participants for each new Contact they add to Salesforce. Award bonus points for Contacts where the Title and/or Email field is populated.

POSSIBLE PRIZES: A day off on Arbor Day; Mini bonsai or cactus for the winner’s desk; Money Tree

National High Five Day (April 16th – third Thursday of April)  MEETINGS COMPETITION
NAME: High Five to Meetings

BULLETIN BOARD: IMAGE 1; IMAGE 2; IMAGE 3

GOAL OF CONTEST: Speaking to customers via phone is great, but for those with field teams, getting in front of the customer allows reps to uncover much more information that they may uncover via a call.  Build a competition in which participants are awarded one point for each meeting scheduled and five points for each meeting completed.

POSSIBLE PRIZES: Five ($20) lottery tickets

National Organize Your Files Week (third week of April) – DATA CLEANUP COMPETITION
NAME: A Sales(force) Re-Org

BULLETIN BOARD: IMAGE

GOAL OF CONTEST: Outdated information in Salesforce is a time waste for the entire company…sales reps, marketing, customer service, etc.  Build a competition in which participants are rewarded for cleaning up specific data within your Salesforce (e.g. adding/updating email addresses).

POSSIBLE PRIZES: Laptop backpack to help keep them organized
