Controller

The Controller will manage financial controls and internal reporting. This position will also develop forecasts, budgets and analyses. Assists functional leaders in achieving increased profitability and in the interpretation & analysis of financial data. The Controller will ensure revenue accuracy and cost management and provide reports on financial and performance measures on both a recurring and ad-hoc basis. Initially, this role will handle all aspects of the financial function from bookkeeping to information flow to monthly close. Please note that we are looking for a roll your sleeves up attitude where you will have the opportunity to craft the role as you develop.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Excellent skill in managing financial controls and reporting processes
  • Skill in financial and operational analysis
  • Strong understanding of service industry cost and profitability drivers
  • Demonstrated knowledge accounting principles, and of legal and ethical business practices
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex business/financial data and develop solutions
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong customer and results orientation
  • Ability to be an effective member of and potentially lead complex project teams
  • Ability to use financial systems and standard office applications software effectively

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years direct responsible business experience involving financial management, or an equivalent combination of education
  • Experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job as determined by company
