Stay on Top of Sales Contest Updates [Email Template]

Sales Contest UpdatesHow many times have you launched a sales contest and then watched your team’s engagement drop because nobody knew where they stood?

We know, we know. With so much to manage each day, it’s easy to let contest communications fall farther and farther down your to-do list. Doing so jeopardizes your contest efforts, though. Why bother taking the time to design a contest if your team won’t remain fully engaged in competing?

The good news is that we have an email template that will save you at least a few minutes in the whole process. Next time you need to send out a sales contest update, just copy the text below into your email composer, fill in the blanks and hit send! (Want a template to announce contest launches, too? Get it here.)

Email Subject:

As a reminder, the sales person with the highest % to goal [or “highest # of points” if that’s what you’re tracking] at the end of the contest will win [name of incentive if you’re offering one; if not, write something like “serious bragging rights.”].

You can also see up-to-the-minute results on our leaderboard here. [Link to wherever your sales leaderboard lives.]

Let me know if you have any questions. Keep up the great work!

Send this update, or one like it, regularly during contests. If you can, do so daily. That way everyone will stay on top of where they stand and therefore maintain consistent focus on those key sales behaviors you need to motivate.
