5 Killa’ Ways to Keep Your Mojo Like Beyonce (in the Office)

It happens to the best of us. You gave it all you had. You pushed harder last quarter than you had before, and now…. you’re in the aftermath. It’s a new day, new month and new quarter. No time to drag your feet now – because you’re a Survivor (What?). You’re not gon Give Up (What?). You’re not gon Stop (What?). You’re gon Work Harder!

Here are 5 ways to keep your energy high, stay motivated and keep knockin’ down those goals!

1. Start your day the night before.

Get the positive momentum started early! Prep for your morning meetings before you go to bed, or take a sunday evening to prep for the week. You’ll have less on your mind weighing you down as you start your day off, and who knows, you could even snag some weekday breakfasts with all that extra morning time.

2. Get your beauty rest.

Take some time to yourself — whether that time is a personal day, or simply a night at home free from social activities. You do need time to recharge — and you (and probably your co-workers) will thank yourself for it!

3. Keep your pen and paper close at hand.

Inspiration comes when you least expect it and successful people don’t rely on their memories alone to keep on task. Keep a notebook nearby to jot down important dates, deadlines, and new ideas that come to you.

4. Keep your attitude in check.

People with positive attitudes have more friends. People with positive attitudes are more productive. People with positive attitudes go further in their careers because they see an opportunity alongside every challenge. (Bonus: Positive people generally are seen as role models and garner more respect in the workplace.)

5. Prioritize what’s important.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed with all that’s on your plate, try categorizing and prioritizing tasks into personal, health, work and play. You will be able to more easily create a work/life balance, while not getting bogged down with tasks that aren’t as urgent or won’t help you be successful.
